The board of Accra Hearts of Oak has been forced into a crisis meeting on Monday in an attempt to convince Coach Kosta Papic to overturn his decision to quit as headcoach of the club.
The 60-year-old Serbian who took charge of the club just two month ago was said to tendered his resignation to the club.
It is reported that the coach cited interference in his job as one of the reasons why he was quitting the job but sources close to the club has refuted the claim.
The report said the Serbian was unhappy with interference from authorities of the club and had signaled in intention to lay down his tools by close of Monday.
Inside source confirmed the coach’s intent to quit the job except to refute the reasons cited as what was forcing the coach to terminate his terms.
According to the source, Coach Papic had already written to the hierarchy of the club communicating his intent to resign but said his decision had nothing to do with interference.
Meanwhile speculation has linked Papic’s reasons to a new and lucrative offer from Tanzania on his table which he was unwilling to let it slip away.
