New Patriotic Party(NPP) National Treasure hopeful, Dr. Charles Dwamena, aka Dr. China, has stated that he believes it is only the New Patriotic Party which can transform Ghana into a very prosperous nation among the political parties in the country.

“I believe that for Ghana to be a prosperous nation, Ghanaians need the NPP which is the only political party that can do that, and we have records to show.

However, before that, the party should be strengthened from the grassroots to have a formidable party to stay in power for at least four continuous terms.”

Dr. Dwamena, popularly called “DR. CHINA” who served as the party’s Director of Administration and Finance at the headquarters from 2016 to 2017 said, the party can stay in power for long if they build a highly resourceful one that will be able attend to the welfare needs of the party members.

Dr. China disclosed that his main objective is to help build a strong party from the grassroot by creating a robust Welfare Fund to be used for the welfare needs of the party members including the polling station and constituency executives, regional and national officers, communicators, the serial callers, and other party members who put their lives on the line for the party, but somehow not recognized.

“By so doing, our party can be in power for a long time to transform the country to the betterment of all Ghanaians”, he noted.

Dr. China, a founding member of the New Patriotic Party, noted that this can be done, it should be done, and he is ready to do it if voted into office as the National Treasurer because he has the expertise and contacts required for raising funds to support  party activities as he has done before.

Dr. China, who is lacing his boot to contest the Party’s National Treasurer position when the party opens its nomination for National Executives this year said this when he met with the party’s regional and constituency executives in the Eastern Regional capital, Koforidua.

Dr. Dwamena assured the party executives of using the links he has built over the years in Asia and other parts of the world to the rebuilding of the party together with other to-be elected national executives if given the nod.

Currently as the Deputy Ghana’s Ambassador to China, Dr. China has spent most of his years in serving the party in various offices in Ghana and abroad, and is ready to serve again as the National Treasurer.

As a professional medical doctor who was trained and has published medicine book in China, Dr. Dwamena also holds MBA from the UK to his credit, and is also a founding member of the New Patriotic Party, China branch, a two-term branch chairman of NPP China, and Chairman of the Asia-Pacific Caucus of the party, that includes NPP China, NPP Japan and NPP Australia
